CODE OF CONDUCT
Serving Your Community
Arlington House Residents and Leaseholders Association is a volunteer-led, community-based organisation dedicated to representing the interests of those who own flats and those who live in Arlington House block.
Participation in the organisation is subject to the observance of the code of conduct.
Anyone who disrespects this code can be asked to take a pause from activities or to leave the Association.
Communications between the members should always be polite and respectful.
We are here to work together, even when we disagree about goals or tactics. There is never an excuse for rude, personal or abusive language.
Communications with contractors, workers, representatives of the landlord or managing agent should also always be polite and respectful.
Whilst we are here to get results and that means we may often need to be tough, there should be no resort to disrespectful or abusive language.
It is unreasonable to target individuals and we don’t believe it will help our cause.
For the exclusion of doubt, the following behaviours would be taken very seriously
● Verbal, physical or visual harassment of another participant, staff member or volunteer.
● Actual or threatened violence toward any individual or group.
● Conduct endangering the life, safety, health or wellbeing of others.
● Bullying or taking unfair advantage of any participant.
